Buses are privately run; there is a service to Büyükkonuk from Mağusa (Famagusta).

The current timetable from the bus terminal in Famagusta is:

• 13:00 (Monday to Friday)
• 16:00 (Monday to Friday)
• 17:00  (Monday to Friday)
• 12:00 (noon Saturday)
  
  

Tickets are sold on board and the trip takes about one hour as the bus makes pickups of school kids and shoppers before heading out on the road to the village.  At the terminal ask anyone which buses will take you to Büyükkonuk as those to nearby villages also go through Büyükkonuk.   The 17:00 bus, recently added, is not available on Saturday and there are no bus services on Sundays.
